In this workshop, participants will be briefed on the cause and status of the genocide in Darfur as well as on the formation of Jewish World Watch. Participants will learn how to organize their synagogue or community to engage in activism to call attention to the genocide and to alleviate the suffering of those who survived and are now in refugee camps.

This important recently released documentary film explores the genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan. It is a call to action to help end the crisis. The film highlights six diverse individuals who have all contributed to publicizing this historic humanitarian tragedy. Written and directed by Ted Braun, the film explores the Darfur conflict through the first-hand experiences of Don Cheadle, Hejewa Adam, Pablo Recalde, Ahmed Mohammed Abakar, Luis Moreno-Ocampo, and Adam Sterling.
