Based on the acclaimed novel by Chaim Potok, "The Chosen" follows the intersecting lives of two Jewish teens in the 1940s. One from a more cloistered family, the other from a family engaged actively in American society, the two boys become fascinated with each other's cultures, even as the their families differing views on the nascent State of Israel threatens to destroy their friendship.
